  On September 15th, 2017, my 22-year-old friend, Ms. Thanh Yang, Hmong mum, was diagnosed with bone cancer, specifically a chondrosarcoma located on a rib above her left breast.

   Last summer, she begins to feel lumpy with pains over her left breast. In one of the largest cancer centers in Vietnam, K hospital in Hanoi, doctors diagnosed her cancer in level 1, but the tumor is already very large and is too close to the heart, they are not able to operate within this establishment already very famous.

Since 6 months, her brother and her husband have tried to approach many hospitals in China, in the United States and also in France, but the amounts of care announced, up to 300000 dollars (in France), to treat her cancer are inaccessible for poor peasants.

His tumor has now tripled in size, which impedes the proper functioning of his lung and compresses his heart, a surgical operation is urgently needed.

On March 23rd, 2018, the surgeon Dr. Bogdanov Aleksei of the Vinmec International Hospital (Hanoi) agrees to take care of her thanks to a fund specially allocated to this type of patient, without financial resources. This operation is very heavy and risky (possibility of amputation of the left arm, chance of survival ...).
    Since March 26th, Thanh is hospitalized in this facility for several months, 4 hours from home, leaving behind her husband and children, who could not accompany him for lack of money 
    Thanh and her husband live off their own produce, since her illness, their daily life is very difficult 
    Not speaking the local language, she is accompanied by her brother who had to put his professional life aside, he is without any financial resources on site.
     On April 2nd, following a full assessment, the hospital announced that the budget allocated for humanitarian purposes may be exceeded and fears that the care cannot be continued as planned.

    Throughout this experience, Thanh remained combative and hopeful. Belonging to the Hmong ethnic group, she lives in the pretty village of Ban Linh Mong in Vietnam, with her husband and two young children aged 3 and 1 year old. They live very modestly but happy in their small house high perched in the middle of the rice fields. She explains that happiness is to share and enjoy each moment with her children. Something she could not do with her mother that she lost very young.

We are aware that Thanh cancer fighting will be long and difficult, but we believe that God is greater than cancer and that everything is possible. Thanh believes in life and we would be so grateful for all that you can do to help her financially and / or by sharing this page.

Le 15 Septembre 2017, mon amie de 22 ans, Madame Thanh Yang, a été diagnostiquée d'un cancer de l’os, plus précisément d'un chondrosarcome localisé sur une côte au-dessus de sa poitrine gauche.

L’été dernier, elle commence à ressentir une grosseur avec des douleurs au-dessus de son sein gauche. Dans l’un des plus grands centres de cancérologie du Vietnam, l’hôpital K à Hanoi, les médecins diagnostiquent son cancer au stade 1, mais la tumeur est déjà de très grande taille et se situe trop près du cœur, ils ne sont pas capables de l’opérer au sein de cet établissement déjà très réputé.

Depuis 6 mois, son grand frère et son mari ont tenté d’approcher de nombreux hôpitaux en Chine, aux Etats Unis et aussi en France, mais les montants des soins annoncés, jusqu’à 300 000 dollars (France), pour traiter son cancer sont inaccessibles pour de pauvres paysans.  

Sa tumeur a maintenant triplée de volume gênant le bon fonctionnement de son poumon et comprimant son cœur, une opération chirurgicale s'impose de toute urgence.  

POURQUOI NOUS AVONS BESOIN DE VOTRE AIDE ?

Par chance, le 23 Mars 2018, le chirurgien, Dr Bogdanov Alekseï de l’hôpital international de Vinmec (Hanoi) accepte de la prendre en charge grâce à un fond spécialement alloué à ce type de patient, sans ressource financière. Cette opération est très lourde et risquée (possibilité d’amputation du bras gauche, chance de survie…).

      Depuis le 26 Mars, Thanh est donc hospitalisée dans cet établissement pour plusieurs mois, à 4 heures de chez elle, laissant derrière elle, mari et enfants, qui n’ont pu l’accompagner faute d’argent.   

      Thanh et son mari vivent de leur recolte, depuis sa maladie, ils n'arrivent plus a subvenir à leur besoin.  

      Ne parlant pas la langue locale, elle est accompagnée de son grand frère qui a dû mettre sa vie professionnelle de côté, il est sans aucune ressource financière sur place.

      Le 02 Avril, suite à un bilan complet, l’hôpital leur annonce que le budget alloué à titre humanitaire risque d’être dépassé et craint que les soins ne puissent être poursuivis comme prévu. 

Pour les aider, nous devons recueillir des fonds urgemment. Tous les dons seront versés à la famille et leur épargneront ce fardeau financier. 

Tout au long de cette expérience, Thanh est restée combative et pleine d'espoir. Appartenant à l’ethnie hmong, elle habite le joli village de Ban Linh Mong au Vietnam, avec son mari et ses deux jeunes enfants âgés de 3 ans et 1 an. Ils vivent très modestement mais heureux dans leur petite maison haut perchée au milieu des rizières. Elle nous explique que le bonheur c’est de partager et profiter de chaque instant avec ses enfants. Chose qu’elle n’a pu faire avec sa mère qu’elle a perdu très jeune.
